Travel Award The International Narcotics Research Conference
2011
form:
2011 Travel Award application
The
organizing committee will consider applications for financial
support to the 2011 INRC annual meeting to be held in Hollywood,
Florida,
USA. Preference will be given to young scientists (postdoctoral
fellows, graduate students and scientists less than 10 years past
receiving doctorate) presenting at the meeting. The amount will
depend on the finances available. In most instances, it should
suffice to cover registration and to partially offset living costs
and/or travel. Since most of the travel funds will come from the
National Institute on Drug Abuse, claims for airfares must be on
U.S. carriers whenever. Besides registration voucher, receipts must
be provided in amounts to cover the award. When possible, checks
will be issued at the Conference.
As a result of the generosity of the Japanese International
Narcotics Research Conference, funds are available to partially
support three Young Investigator Travel Awards to young scientists
from the "Rest of the World." At this time, funds have not been
obtained for Travel Awards to support young scientists from Europe.
However, I encourage any young investigator to send an application
to me. If funds are obtained, the applications that have been
received by March 1 will be evaluated.
